Why the site exists

Getting a brand-new website discovered is hard: search engines can’t rank what they haven’t found, and most “free backlink” lists send you to spammy link farms that do more harm than good. We wanted the opposite — one clean, moderated place where a good site gets a real listing, a little referral traffic, and a link that’s worth having because the directory around it is trustworthy.

Who it’s for

Indie hackers launching a first project, founders who want early discovery without a marketing budget, and anyone building something on the web that deserves to be found. Listings span two dozen categories — from developer tools to design, writing, and SEO.

Our editorial & curation standards

A directory is only as good as what it keeps out. We hold every listing to a few simple standards:

• Submissions are moderated. Sites are reviewed before they appear. We reject spam, scams, illegal content, and anything unsafe or off-topic — we do not auto-approve everything that’s submitted.
• Links are earned, not sold. A new listing’s outbound link starts as nofollow and becomes a followed, equity-passing link only once the listing earns genuine engagement. It keeps the directory clean and the links meaningful.
• Rankings can’t be bought. Placement reflects real visits, outbound clicks, and authenticated upvotes — never payment. Scores refresh hourly.
• Abuse is filtered. We screen for self-voting, bot traffic, and other gaming, and anyone can report a listing that doesn’t belong.

What’s new

We maintain the directory and publish new guides regularly. Recent updates:

• 26 September 2026Expanded the guides library to 16 in-depth guides covering backlinks, anchor text, indexing, directory submission, guest posting, and AI-search citation.
• 26 September 2026Streamlined the directory so only categories with live listings are indexed, keeping the catalog clean as it grows.
• 17 September 2026Launched the Guides hub and an FAQ / how-it-works explainer.
• 12 September 2026Published privacy, terms, and cookie policies and completed an accessibility pass.
